The Light in the Dark workshop offers a relaxed and hands-on introduction to the history of photography. Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will work in the darkroom to create photograms – images made without a camera – and explore the museum’s permanent Etsin exhibition.
The workshop is ideal for friends or work groups looking for a shared activity, for example as part of a workplace wellbeing day or a bachelor/bachelorette party. The content can be tailored to suit the group.
Duration: 2 hours
Group size: max. 20 participants
Languages: Finnish, Swedish, English
Price: Adult groups €40/person, minimum workshop fee €400. The price includes instruction, darkroom materials and admission to the exhibitions. Workshops are available Tuesday–Friday.

Bookings must be made at least one week in advance. A €10 invoicing fee applies. Bookings can be cancelled or amended free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled time. The full workshop fee will be charged for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance or for no-shows.
