Event day on the last week of the Invisible Race exhibition

During the final week of the Invisible Race exhibition, the museum will host a diverse event day that will explore the themes of the exhibition in greater depth through performances and discussions.

 

Admission:

Museum entrance fee / Museum Card. Free admission for those under 18 years of age.

 

Program:

4–5 pm.

Arabic-language guided tour to the exhibition

Sonya Lindfors & working group: Living in Color / In Living Color performance 

Sonya Lindfors and her working group’s performance Living in Color / In Living Color invites the viewers to think about the urgent, unsettled question: What does it mean to be “of color”?

The exhibitions' video works will not be in use during the performance.

Discussion panel: Visualizing Whiteness - Telling The Truth About Invisible Power

Participants are artists from the Invisible Race exhibition Nayab Noor Ikram, Karl Ohiri and Minna L. Henriksson. The panel will be moderated by Sophia Wekesa.

 

7:30 – 8:30 pm.

DJ Wekesa plays music in the museum's Process space.

 

9 pm. 

The museum closes.
